Clay Elliott currently serves as the Bay Area Director. He has been part of the FCA team since September ’99.
Clay married Kelly Lynch June 12, 1982. Together, he and his wife Kelly (who is also on staff) have four kids (Megan Sanchez, Brooks, Whitney and Zac), a son-in-law (Drew Sanchez) and now two grandchildren (Kobi and Cooper)! All four of his kids served as FCA huddle leaders in their high school. His daughter Whitney is on staff as the East Bay Rep.
Clay was in church ministry for 17 years before he joined FCA. Prior to that, he played five years of professional baseball in the Atlanta Braves organization. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education from Biola University and is Western Seminary trained.
Clay loves to read and write and hopes one day to author a book. You will find some of his work in current FCA resources. At the moment his favorite author is Mark Batterson who has written one of his favorite books “In a pit with a lion on a snowy day”. He loves to begin his day with a physical, spiritual and intellectual work out. And he is a big fan of the Oakland A’s…praying that they become the San Jose A’s so he can watch as many games as he can in person!
